SKILLED MU JOURNALIST
SEEKS JOB AS REPORTER

"Put it before them brief so they will read it, clearly so they will appreciate it, picturesquely so they will remember it and, above all, accurately so they will be guided by its light."
-Joseph Pulitzer

Thank you for visiting my online portfolio! Here you'll find my resume and various pieces of my best work in reporting, copy editing and design. I've also included some of my undergraduate research from my time at the University of Missouri.

My main focus and my strengths are in reporting and copy editing, but I have extensive experience in layout, design and Web first news.

When I was 13 years old, I learned about the University of Missouri's prestigious journalism school. Having wanted to be a reporter since I was a child, Mizzou became my dream school. Now, I'm proud to say I'm a graduate of the oldest and most renowned journalism school in the world.

I'm currently working as the managing editor and as a reporter for the Boone County Journal in Ashland, Missouri, where I have been on the city hall and politics beat for about two years. I've gained an incredible understanding and appreciation for community politics and community news. I hope to continue down that path in my career.

I have experience in working for both daily and weekly publications as a reporter, copy editor and social media manager. I've completed coursework in community newspapers, newspaper management and newspaper ethics.

I spent two semesters studying journalism in Brazil at Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio de Janeiro. As a result of my time there, I have advanced knowledge of international journalism and can speak and write Portuguese fluently.

Please feel free to contact me, I'd love to hear from you!
